Club Membership Information

Rotary club members are part of a diverse group of professional leaders working to address various community and international service needs.

Through community service and other means, Rotary club members help promote peace and understanding throughout the world. Our members are our most important asset. They are the force that allows Rotary to carry out its many humanitarian efforts and achieve its mission.

Information for Prospective Members

Rotarians are business and professional leaders who take an active role in their communities while greatly enriching their personal and professional lives. A Rotary club contains a diverse group of professional leaders from the community that the club serves.

Membership in a Rotary club offers a number of benefits, including:

• Effecting change within the community.
• Developing leadership skills.
• Gaining an understanding of - and having an impact on - international humanitarian issues.
• Developing relationships with community and business leader

Through Rotary's service programs, a Rotary club can have a significant effect on the quality of life in its community. Rotary Foundation programs or partnerships help people in need worldwide. Some 1.2 million Rotarians in 31,000 clubs offer opportunities to form international fellowships in more than 166 countries make significant contributions to the quality of life at home and around the globe.

Rotary membership is by invitation only. If you would like to learn more about the Rotary club in your community and its various service projects, contact your local club, which can be located by searching the District 5890 Club Locator. You can also search our Rotary International Web Site's Club Locator to see if your local club is online. To express your interest in Rotary, fill out the Prospective Member Contact Form and Rotary International will forward your information to Rotary clubs in your area.

Special Membership Honors

It is the custom of the club to honor one member each year for their exceptional devotion to the club, to Rotary and to the Rotary motto of "Service Above Self." A listing of these Rotarians of the Year is available on this web site.
